New teachers’ coaching scheme signs up instructors
A new online teacher coaching programme has signed up 50 instructors in the space of a few weeks.
The programme – EduCoach: The Personal Trainer for Teachers – was designed for parents and anyone who wants to improve their instructional techniques as well as professionals.
A spokeswoman for the programme said: “Several coaches have exceptional knowledge of the UK and Cambridge curriculums and two coaches thus far speak fluent Spanish as a second language.
“Together, the coaches bring a range of expertise in all subjects and in various pedagogical spaces, including leadership and talent management, which is ideal for school and district leaders.”
The platform was launched five weeks ago by Gina Tucker, a veteran of the island’s education system, to train teachers in Bermuda and overseas.
The coaches include Keisha Allen-Smith, a Bermudian with experience in curriculum and instruction who is also certified in other areas, such as stress management.
Anyone interested in joining the programme or becoming a coach should apply at www.educoach.online.
