A showroom for tiles and stone could be built in front of a Warwick house.

A planning application, submitted to the Department of Planning by CTX Design Group on behalf of the Alexandria Trust, proposed a showroom between the house at 51 Middle Road and the highway.

The application explained the land in front of the house would be lowered to prevent the view from the cottage being blocked and that the showroom’s flat roof would form a patio area for the house.

The new structure would include two showrooms, one for stone tile and another for stone slab.

The application added two offices and a bathroom would also be created and a set of steps would be built to allow access to the house from the front of the building.

The proposal also included the creation of 17 parking spaces for the business.

The property is already zoned as commercial, so no change of use for the land would be required.
