Bank stock advances

The RG/BSX Index closed up 13.41 (0.53 per cent) at 2,559.79. Two issues traded on the Bermuda Stock Exchange as 20,227 shares changed hands with a combined turnover of $480,071.
BF&M Ltd closed unchanged at $23.00 after 19,127 shares were traded.
The Bank of Butterfield closed up 25 cents at $36.50 on a volume of 1,100 shares.
The bank also gained on the New York Stock Exchange, rising $1.33 (4.18 per cent) to close at $33.16.
The BSX Insurance Index remained unquoted.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was up more than 13 points, closing at 2,559.79
