Please, please slow down
Dear Sir,
As busy as the hospital is, people still come in as victims of road traffic crashes. This only adds to the already totally overworked emergency staff, problems with finding beds and, in general, adds to an increasingly terrible state of affairs.
If you ride a bike — or drive a car — is it necessary to try to break the land speed record? Do you feel there are too many walls on the island and want to remove some of them?
Are insurance premiums not high enough already? Do you want your loved ones to get a phone call in the middle of the night?
If you are late for work or an appointment, leave earlier! There are many good, careful, law-abiding drivers on the island. But there are also some totally irresponsible ones. Believe me, the staff at the hospital do not want to see them there.
Please, please slow down.
