A 46ft yacht was abandoned by its crew of four some 130 miles south east of the Island yesterday, after putting out an urgent call for help.The Champis, en route for Norway, had lost its engine and mast, and crew member had fallen ill, a Bermuda Maritime Operations spokesman said.Assisted by the US Coast Guard, the Bermuda-registered Altamira rescued the crew shortly after noon, leaving the crippled sailboat adrift.
