Shipping firm highlights Christmas season deadlines
A shipping company highlighted the latest dates it can accept goods to arrive in time for the Christmas season.
The announcement from Best Shipping came amid concerns that global supply chain problems caused by the Covid-19 pandemic will affect Christmas orders.
A spokesman said that ocean freight deliveries must arrive at the company’s New Jersey warehouse by December 6.
He added that goods transported by Best Direct Air Service must arrive at the warehouse by December 15.
The spokesman said: “Earlier this year, we reminded our clients that just about everything on their holiday lists have taken a turbulent journey through the world’s now unreliable supply chains and we recommended they place their holiday orders early.
“It has been widely publicised that, around the world, companies are competing with supply chain bottlenecks and production delays due to Covid-related shutdowns and our customers are certainly seeing that now.”
