Warning over phishing e-mails
Created: Dec 02, 2021 07:29 AM
The public has been warned to be wary of phishing e-mails that claim to be from the Accountant-General’s Department.
A Government spokeswoman said the email contains a malware attachment that is dangerous to computers if opened.
The spokeswoman added: “Again, the email is false and should not be opened under any circumstances.
“If individuals have any concerns as to whether an e-mail may be fraudulent, they should contact the Bermuda Police Service.
“The public is reminded to please only rely on official information and advisories from the Government of Bermuda’s official communication’s section, the Department of Communications.”
