Likewise, shoppers at a participating retailer can take their receipt to a participating restaurant and receive 10 per cent off their bill of $75 or more.
Participating restaurants include Astwood Arms, Aurora, Barracuda Grill, Blu Bar & Grill, Brew, Fourways Restaurant, Frog & Onion Pub, Hog Penny, La Trattoria, L’Oriental, Pickled Onion and Port O Call.
Participating retailers include Alexandra Mosher, Della Valle Sandals, Demco Florists, Gibbons Company, Gorham’s, The Chef Shop, Marks & Spencer, Salt & Cedar and TABS.
Lorraine Shailer, executive board member and chairwoman of the retail division of the chamber, said: “The pandemic has continued to present challenges over the last year for both the retail and restaurant industries.
“Consumer spending has also certainly been affected by Covid and this holiday season is no exception.
“We have put the 75/10 initiative together to encourage consumers to shop locally and to patronise our local restaurants.
“It is our hope that this promotion will get shoppers and diners back to Hamilton and into the holiday spirit!”
The promotion ends on December 12.
