Brooklyn magazine’s glowing tribute to Uzimon
Bermudian reggae artist Uzimon, who lives in New York, has earned a glowing tribute from the online publication Brooklyn Magazine.
The latest performance by Daniel Frith in his Uzimon persona garnered high marks in the wake of his show, Reggae vs Vladimir Putin, on December 11 at a Brooklyn venue.
The review highlighted his “outlandish personality” in channelling dancehall reggae with a mixture of humour and commitment to the act.
The article also delved into Mr Frith’s background in Bermuda among a family of artists.
True to form, Uzimon’s latest songs include light-hearted advice to listeners on how to get a good night’s sleep.
The December 14 article quoted Brett Tubin, Uzimon’s producer and a guitarist in the band.
“When you see music, especially in New York, a lot of people will sit there with their arms crossed judging.
“Uzi is there to make everyone feel good about themselves.”
