The City of Hamilton’s festive 12 Days of Giving campaign has finished with 24 winners taking home prizes.

A spokeswoman for the City said that more than 1,000 entries were received for the contest through the municipality’s Facebook and Instagram pages.

A winner was drawn every day from each social media page, with prizes including a two-night stay at the Hamilton Princess, a professional photography shoot, grocery and gas vouchers, a Christmas gift basket and gift-wrapping supplies.

The City also donated $500 each to the Salvation Army and the Kijani Burgess Dream Award Charity.

Sideya Dill, the marketing co-ordinator at City Hall, thanked everyone who took part in the giveaway, which finished on Friday.

She said: “The participation from members of the public was amazing and we would like to encourage everyone to keep following the City on social media for the latest City events, news and more.

“We really want to thank those participating City businesses who partnered with us in providing some of these fantastic giveaways.”
