Bank finishes higher on NYSE

The Bank of Butterfield on Monday closed up 65 cents (1.71 per cent) at $38.60 on the New York Stock Exchange.
The Bermuda Stock Exchange was scheduled to be closed Monday and Tuesday this week, the Bermuda public holidays in lieu of the traditional observance of Christmas Day and Boxing Day which fell on Saturday and Sunday.
The RG/BSX Index finished unchanged Friday, Christmas eve, at 2,595.09, with no activity on the Bermuda Stock Exchange domestic board.
