Spence promoted to assistant manager of Meyer Freight
The Meyer Group of Companies has promoted Konika Spence to the position of assistant manager of Meyer Freight Ltd.
Ms Spence has been a part of the Meyer team for six years and has 18 years’ experience in the shipping industry, the company said.
In this position, she will lend support to the division vice-president and be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the office.
Cheryl Hayward-Chew, president and CEO of the Meyer Group of Companies, said: “Konika has been an integral member of the Meyer Freight team, consistently demonstrating a high level of integrity and competence. I look forward to Konika expanding her role as the new assistant manager.”

Meyer Freight Ltd represents two of Bermuda’s regular cargo carriers, the Bermuda Islander with weekly service from Salem, New Jersey, and the Somers Isles service from Fernandina Beach, Florida.
