Two industry veterans employed with Bermudian-based companies have been included on the 2022 board of directors at Acord, the global standards-setting body for the insurance industry.

Venkat Krishnamoorthy, who is new to the board, is the chief technology officer at Hamilton Insurance Group, and Ian Macartney is senior vice-president, head of innovation and digital, at Argo Group US.

They are both based in New York City.

Thirteen of the 21 board members are based in the United States, while five are based in the United Kingdom, two are in Germany and one is in Australia.

The board will be chaired by Robert Kelly, managing director and CEO, Steadfast Group Limited, with Kevin Tobin, president and chief executive officer, Marsh Insurance Services Group, serving as vice-chairman.
