Real estate sales moving on up

Rego Sotheby’s International Realty has announced that the Sotheby’s International Realty global network achieved a record $204 billion in 2021 global sales volume.

That was a 36 per cent increase in sales growth year-over-year, as US cities saw a resurgence of interest following the pandemic and sales activity in secondary and resort markets around the world remained strong.

The brand’s US sales volume grew by 33.8 per cent year-over-year, significantly outpacing NAR’s national increase of 20.6 per cent from the prior year, underscoring the brand’s leadership in the high-end market.

“Locally, we also have seen a very strong market in 2021 in the luxury end of the market in addition to greater overall volume in the entire market,” commented Buddy Rego, president of Rego Sotheby’s International Realty.
