Black History Month events at the Hamilton Princess and Beach Club have resulted in a $2,000 donation to two charities.

A spokeswoman for the hotel said that $2,000 was raised though February’s BHM celebrations, and the Green family – the owners of the hotel – had matched the sum.

The cash was given to the Bermuda College Foundation and Family Centre, which were selected by this year’s BHM honourees, Gary Phillips, the chairman of the Bermuda National Gallery, and Martha Dismont, the founder and former director of Family Centre.
