HOTELS BURGLED CRM Thieves struck at two hotels over the weekend.

In the early hours of Saturday, about $700 was stolen from a room of a hotel in South Road, Paget.

The intruder entered through an open bedroom window.

On Saturday night, two rooms of a Pembroke hotel were entered through sliding glass doors.

Some $120, along with credit cards and other items, were stolen from one room.

About $85 was taken from the other.

BAG STOLEN CRM A woman was made to suffer for leaving her car at Warwick Long Bay Beach and going for walk.

She returned an hour later at 9 a.m. on Saturday to find a thief had smashed the passenger window and removed her handbag from under the seat.

The bag contained cash, credit cards and other items worth a total of $340.

HEROIN BUST CTS A social inquiry report was ordered for a Pembroke man who pleaded guilty to possessing heroin and intending it for supply.

Prosecutor Sgt. Kenrick James told the court that Rudy L. Smith, 23, of Parsons Lane, Pembroke was seen with a group of men on Elliott Street in Pembroke.

Police said they planned to search him for drugs and saw him drop a small plastic twist.

The twist contained six silver foil decks of heroin. Smith said he planned to sell each deck for $20.

The drugs were analysed and weighed .06 grams with a 43 percent purity. Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis bailed Smith for $500 until sentencing on February 18.

MAN FINED $300 CTS Possessing cocaine and drug equipment cost a St. George's man $300 in Magistrates' Court.

Dennis Harris, 39, of Ferry Reach pleaded guilty to the charges.

Prosecuting Sgt. Kenrick James told Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis that on October 27 at 9.35 p.m., Police saw Harris sitting outside the entrance to Princess Street, Pembroke.

"They observed him putting a glass pipe up to his mouth, and he also had a match box on his lap,'' Sgt. James said.

"When questioned about what he was doing, Harris said he wasn't smoking anything.'' Police arrested him and he told them that the drugs were not his. He later admitted possessing a pipe and .02 grams of cocaine.
