A Bermudian social media influencer living in the US became has been featured in an article for CNN Business detailing her career and daily life.

Kaelyn Kastle, 24, was front and centre in the article, published on Monday, which featured her all-Black influencer group Collab Crib.

Kaelyn, whose video focus on her musical and dancing skills as well as her comedic talents, told the news site: “I like to inspire people.

“If I can make someone smile for 30 seconds out of their day then I’ve done my job.”

The article highlights the day-to-day life of the Collab Crib, located in Atlanta, and is Kaelyn’s latest feature in a major news outlet.

She and other members of the Collab Crib were previously the subject of the New York Times Presents documentary Who Wants to Be an Influencer? where they discussed the pay discrimination that influencers of colour face in the social media industry.

Kaelyn was also highlighted in the prestigious “30 Under 30” list of the top business magazine Forbes.

She recently won an award for Best Female R & B/Pop artist in the Black Only Awards in Atlanta.

The group contains ten comedians and performers who use their social media platforms to create trendsetting videos highlighting their skills.

They are managed by Kevin Dorsey, who hand-picked the influencers and helps with tasks such as securing brand deals.

The group works out of a mansion called the Collab Crib, a “content house” where the influencers create videos and where many of whom live.

Members of the Collab Crib a combined total of 30 million followers and consists mostly of entertainers in their 20s, though the youngest member, Marcus Bolton, is just eight years old.
