Jean Howes of 'The Jean and Gene Show' wants the public to know that William "Cheese" Ray had pre-recorded the production two days before he took ill.
Mr. Ray, a well known automotive business owner and an avid horse and buggy driver, has also been in the Jean and Gene Show for the past 11 years.
The 80-year-old Mr. Ray has not regained consciousness since his operation at Mass General, in Boston, was told.
A family member said he had not improved and was still in a coma, although he has opened his eyes and moved his limbs.
Mr. Ray received surgery after suffering an aneurysm two weeks ago. Mr. Ray's wife, Josie, is the 77-year-old woman who was knocked down by a thief at the Southampton Post Office, in February of this year.
She has been in and out of a coma ever since and was flown back to the Island in October after receiving treatment overseas.
Although she was making progress in the overseas hospital she regressed due to illness back in Bermuda.
Tyrone Brangman, 16, pleaded guilty to robbing Mrs. Ray and he was given three years probation due mostly to Mr. Ray's victim impact statement.
A Canadian fishing boat bound for Bermuda was overdue on its arrival to the Island prompting Harbour Radio to commence broadcast to the vessel. the 45-foot fishing vessel, departed from St. John, Newfoundland and the boat's owner had contact with the three people onboard on Thursday. On Thursday their position was 220 nautical miles north east of Bermuda.
Last night, a Harbour Radio spokesman said the boat was approximately a day overdue and last night they had begun broadcast to the vessel.
A Friday night cycle collision landed a 31-year-old in the Intensive Care Unit at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
Police attended a collision that occurred at the junction of Somerset Road and Lantana Road in Sandy's between two motorcycles.
It is believed that the cycles were travelling in opposite directions along Somerset Road when they collided but Police said the circumstances surrounding the collision are unclear.
The 31-year-old motorcylce rider in the west bound lane sustained head injuries and is currently stable in ICU at KEMH.

An increase in breaking and entering incidents Island wide has prompted the Bermuda Police service to warn residents ? be sure to secure your homes at all times.
Thursday alone there were ten incidents of breaking and entering, with three occurring in Devonshire, two in Paget and Warwick, and one each in Smith's, Southampton and Pembroke parishes.
Police are urging members of the public to properly secure their homes and their valuables inside their homes at all times, especially when leaving their residences for any length of time.
A flight from Paris to Miami was diverted to Bermuda on Thursday due to a medical emergency.
At 1:30 p.m. American Airlines flight 63 landed in Bermuda after Bietane Gilbert, a 70-year-old male passenger began complaining of chest pains.
Upon arrival on the Island, the man and his wife were taken via ambulance to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital in order to receive treatment.
Hospital officials said: "Mr. Gilbert is on a general floor and is in a stable condition."
According to James Howes, the director of the Airport, the flight was refuelled and took off for Miami within an hour.
