Report on how PwC positively affects their world

PwC has released its 2021 Bermuda Environmental, Social and Governance Highlights, an inside look at how the firm impacts the world of business, the planet and people.

The company said: “The pandemic has brought on many challenges. It has also taught us important lessons, such as the need to support and protect people, connect with each other, and focus on our mental and physical health.

“As an organisation we are more focused and better positioned than ever to deliver on our purpose – to build trust in society and solve important problems – and our new network strategy – The New Equation."

The report highlights strategies that include 50 per cent women partners in Bermuda/Caribbean firms by 2030. Women already make up 56 per cent of the global PWC staff.

The firm also noted their 115 training hours per employee in Bermuda and more than $75,000 in scholarship funds awarded annually.

The Bermuda firm has decreased greenhouse gas emissions by 63 per cent since 2020 and decreased total electricity consumed by 15 per cent.

PwC Bermuda has committed to Net Zero by 2030 and has already increased firm-wide volunteering in Bermuda to more than 3,400 volunteer hours.

Other highlights include: 3,000 plus meals delivered to community feeding programmes; $1 million investment in the Bermuda community; and each year 100 per cent of Bermuda partners and staff complete ethics and compliance training.
