A host of local celebrities will face a public dunking as part of a fundraising effort for Big Brothers, Big Sister’s of Bermuda.
The Dunk Tank fundraiser, to be held as part of the City of Hamilton’s Summer Sundays event at Victoria Park, will feature a number of familiar faces potentially taking the plunge.
The fundraiser will start at 1pm on July 17 with Dwayne Caines, CEO of the City of Hamilton to be the first in the tank.
He will be followed by Bishop Nick Dill, Gary Foster Skelton, reporter with the Bermuda Broadcasting Company, Carika Weldon, local scientist who spearheaded Bermuda’s Covid-19 testing regime, Mr Fotogenik, a social media personality, DJ Rusty G, Nikki Bascome, professional boxer, and Nadanja Bailey, an entertainer.
The family event will also include dozens of games and activities along with live music, Gombeys and a variety of vendors.
A City of Hamilton spokeswoman said: “Summer Sundays in the Park has become a staple event in the City events calendar providing a family fun day in the City that celebrates local music and talent while also supporting local vendors.”
The free event is scheduled to run from 1pm to 6pm.
