Digicel offers summer internships

Digicel Bermuda has offered seven young people internships in their service delivery and outside plant divisions this summer.

Digicel said: “With rising youth unemployment within Bermuda, it is critical that we, as an employer, foster those relationships early and show the range of job opportunities within our industry.

“Within our eight-week programme, these seven interns will be given the opportunity to gain professional and technical hands-on experience on our network infrastructure.

“From installation to maintenance and all the time learning key valuable skills in customer excellence and what it takes to ensure the people of Bermuda can access high-speed internet, whenever they want, wherever they want.

“Making the “connection” is something easy for us to do. We believe that when young people are inspired and motivated to achieve, they succeed in doing their best and enjoy what they do.“

Stephen Murad, regional CEO of Digicel said: “We are honoured to have these young Bermudians as part of our team for the summer!

“Our goal is to make sure that they leave Digicel Bermuda enthused and motivated to build a career in one of the fastest moving industries in the world. We are hopeful that they will eventually become part of the Digicel family.”
