Motorcyclist in hospital after Baileys Bay collision
A crash in Hamilton Parish Friday night has left a male motorcyclist with very serious injuries.
At about 11.30pm police and first responders attended the scene of the incident on North Shore Road at the junction with Coney Island Road.
A spokeswoman for the Bermuda Police Service said: “Information suggests that both vehicles initially were travelling in a westerly direction, however it appears that a male riding one of the motorcycles attempted to make a U-turn, causing the vehicles to collide.
“The rider of that motorcycle was reported to have very serious injuries and has been transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.
“The male riding the second motorcycle and his female pillion passenger were also taken to KEMH for treatment of their injuries. The extent of their injuries is not know at this time.”
Investigators processed the scene and traffic was diverted at Wilkinson Avenue and Fractious Street.
Witnesses to this collision are being urged to contact Police Constable Tavoris Douglas on 717-2082 or tdouglas@bps.bm or 211.
