Tennis pro wins top award
The director of Rosewood Bermuda’s tennis programme has won an international award from Cliff Drysdale Tennis.
The company, which operates tennis programmes at 32 facilities around the world including Rosewood Bermuda, gave Yana Orlova its 2019 Director of the Year award.
Scott Colebourne, chief operating officer for Cliff Drysdale Tennis, said the award was a testimony to Ms Orlova’s leadership.
Mr Colebourne said: “Yana has done an incredible job in 2019 in leading the tennis team at Rosewood Bermuda.
“When we began managing the program there in July of 2018 we were lucky to have Ashley Brooks continue working there alongside Yana.
“Together the two of them have worked fantastically together to grow the program, as well as the abilities and skills of the other tennis staff at the club.”
Ms Orlova, from Russia, was as a professional on the ITF Pro Circuit and acquired a master’s degree in sport coaching before she came to Rosewood Bermuda, at Tucker’s Point, in 2018.
