Local artist Corrina Rego has given new life to objects that would otherwise be discarded in an exhibition at the Bermuda Society of Arts.

Called ReGenesis: Given New Life, the work is based on the story of creation and features about 24 pieces made from tile and used sea plastics.

Ms Rego said: “This project provides new purpose and life to objects that would otherwise be discarded by combining them into a beautiful, cohesive piece. It mimics the beauty on the earth that came from dust.

“I really like the Adam and Eve piece, but my favourite piece in the exhibit is the fish made out of burnt pennies which someone was originally planning to take to the dump.”

ReGenesis: Given New Life runs in the Edinburgh Gallery until October 11.
