People will be able to bid for abandoned or seized goods after the Customs Department set up a new website showcasing items up for auction.

The website www.customs.bm has been established to provide further details on the available items and as a way to submit offers for them.

Starting yesterday new items will be periodically displayed on the site. Some of the items currently available include a flannel shirt, a ladies’ evening dress, a teddy bear and a Suzuki car wind shield.

Anyone who wants to bid should register on the site and bids will only be accepted through the website, which only accepts credit, debit or charge cards as payment methods.

The items will be auctioned to recover the duty owed on them.

You must be Registered or to post comment or to vote.
