Alex Baker is promoted to Hamilton Insurance CRO
Alex Baker has been promoted to the post of group chief risk officer at Hamilton Insurance Group Ltd. as of January 1, subject to the requisite regulatory approval.
Mr Baker will report to group CEO Pina Albo and replaces Pete Skerlj, who will be leaving the organisation.
Ms Albo said: “I am delighted to welcome Alex to the group executive team. Since joining Hamilton in 2016, Alex has been a trusted adviser and instrumental in building our robust risk and actuarial culture.
“Alex will continue to uphold Hamilton’s high-quality risk and actuarial integrity and I look forward to working even more closely with him as we execute our strategy of building a global diversified specialty insurance and reinsurance company.”
She added: “As a founding member of Hamilton, Pete set up our risk and actuarial function and helped build our strong team.
“I am grateful to him for his many contributions to Hamilton’s success and wish him all the best.”
