MPs will return to the House of Assembly this morning, where they can expect to hear 12 ministerial statements and the One Bermuda Alliance reply to the Throne Speech.
An order paper showed five members were expected to be absent from proceedings – Progressive Labour Party backbenchers Jamahl Simmons, Zane DeSilva, Crystal Caesar and Curtis Dickinson, as well as Scott Pearman, the OBA Shadow Minister of Legal Affairs and Home Affairs.
Statements are to cover topics including a “new $50 million guarantee”, an update on constitutional reform, and an amendment to immigration legislation.
Cole Simons, the Leader of the Opposition, will deliver his reply to the Government’s legislative plan for the year ahead.
