Garbage collection in Hamilton over the Christmas and New Year holidays will operate on a reduced schedule, the City of Hamilton announced yesterday.

The last garbage collection will be at 10pm tonight and trash should be put out before 8pm.

There will be no garbage collection until Friday. Garbage should also be placed on the sidewalks by 8pm on New Year’s Eve so it can be collected at 10pm.

There will be no collection on New Year’s Day. The normal schedule will resume on January 2.

The public was asked to not put any trash out on the sidewalks when there is no scheduled collection.
