St John Ambulance holds second free pop-up Covid booster clinic on Saturday
The St John Ambulance is holding a second free pop-up clinic to give Covid-19 booster shots on Saturday.
To qualify for the booster, people must have received both primary shots, with the last one having been administered at least five months before December 10, the day of the clinic.
They must also either be aged 50 or older, work in healthcare or an essential service, or have a compromised immune system.
The Minister of Health Kim Wilson said: “I realise that the upcoming holiday period will see family and friends come together to enjoy traditional festivities, including people spending time together in proximity.
“I encourage residents to take all precautionary available to them to guard against this virus, especially vulnerable residents.
“For residents eligible for the Moderna booster shot, I encourage them to turn out for this occasion.”
The clinic is on Saturday, next to Charities House on Point Finger Road, Paget. Walk-in hours will be from 9am and 1pm.
The vaccine will be offered at no charge but donations to the St John Ambulance would be appreciated.
