Apartments plan for upper floors of bar and restaurant

17 Front Street, now the home of WildGreens Bermuda.

A portion of Front Street bar and restaurant could be turned into two apartments, according to a recent planning application.

The planning application by Entasis Architecture on behalf of Jerome Dill proposes turning the upper two floors of the former Muse restaurant into studio apartments.

“The proposal is to convert the upper two floors of the existing restaurant into two studio apartments,” planning documents stated.

“The restaurant will remain on the ground floor. Entrance to the apartments will be through the stairs located on the east side of the ground floor.”

WildGreens Bermuda now occupies the ground floor of the building.

The project would include minor additions and alterations, including a proposed roof extension on the second floor.

The first floor apartment would cover 717 square feet with a private outdoor area of 190 square feet, while the upper apartment would cover 548 square feet with a private outdoor area of 215 square feet.
