RenRe makes promotions in underwriting leadership

Bermudian-based RenaissanceRe Holdings Ltd has kicked off the new year by promoting five members of its underwriting leadership team.

Justin O'Keefe is now the chief underwriting officer, North America and Bermuda.

Cathal Carr has added chief underwriting officer, Europe, to his role as global head, Climate and Sustainability Underwriting Strategy.

Marc Amen has added president, Renaissance Reinsurance US Inc to his role as global head, Casualty Reinsurance.

Fiona Walden has taken on the post of chief underwriting officer, Casualty & Specialty, and Bryan Dalton has become chief underwriting officer, Property.

Mr O’Keefe and Ms Walden are based in Bermuda, Mr Carr and Mr Dalton work in London, and Mr Amen is based in New York.

The company’s new group chief underwriting officer, David Marra, said: “Over the last several years RenaissanceRe has expanded and diversified across clients, lines of business and geographies.

“In their new roles, these executives will work as a team to co-ordinate our underwriting strategy and execution across risk classes and regions to best meet our customers’ needs.”
