Podiatrist Stuart McIntosh has joined the medical foot care and treatment practice of Arches Podiatry, at 1 Cedar Ave, next to the W.E.R. Joell Tennis Stadium.

The practice was established one year ago and now combines the forces of Natalie Bennett and Dr McIntosh.

Both doctors have been specialising in providing foot and lower limb care for the people of Bermuda for 16 years.

Arches consults and treats all ages in the practice, from schoolchildren with a painful plantar wart, through active teens with sport induced foot and leg pain, to adults with all manner of foot and lower limb conditions.

Some of the conditions regularly diagnosed and treated include plantar fasciitis/heel pain, Achilles tendinitis, ankle injury and instability, lower limb muscular and ligament injuries, and running and sports related injuries.

That is in addition to professional foot and nail care for high-risk individuals (diabetics) and for the public.

General foot care includes care for difficult nails – thickened or ingrown nails, painful callouses and corns, and solutions to reduce their recurrence and the impact of these on a person’s daily life and activities.
