Winds expected to ease this afternoon and evening

Blustery winds with gale force gusts and wet weather are expected to ease this afternoon, the Bermuda Weather Service reports.

There is still a a chance of showers later today but conditions should improve through Mondya before another low pressure system barrels into the area on Tuesday.

Winds are expected to ease to 20 to 25 mph this afternoon and will ease further thois evening.

There is a small craft warning in effect through to Monday night. No other watches or warnings are anticipated.

A community day planned to take place at the National Museum of Bermuda in Dockyard today has been postponed.

Katie Bennett, NMB’s advancement officer, said: “While we are disappointed that we had to postpone our community day due to wet and windy weather, we are working quickly to set a new date in March and look forward to sharing that soon.”
