Planners are hosting two online “lunch and learn” events to let the public learn more about the draft City of Hamilton Plan.

Walter Roban, the Minister of Home Affairs, said: “The City of Hamilton is the central hub for much of island’s commerce, entertainment and activities.

“These events are a great opportunity for the public to learn and have their questions answered about a document which will have a critical role in shaping the future of the City.

“I encourage everyone to review the City Survey Report 2023 alongside the consultative draft plan and prepare your questions in advance.

“Your participation in this event is vital as it will enable the Department of Planning to enhance the plan further, helping ensure Bermuda’s residents contribute to the final version.”

The events will take place on Facebook, YouTube and CITV on March 7 between noon and 1pm and on March 15 between 1pm to 2pm.

Victoria Cordeiro, the Director of Planning, Kenny Campbell, the acting senior planner and Tamsyn Doran, planner, will all take part in the conversations with Michael Brangman, communications officer, moderating.

Questions can be submitted to the panel in the comments on Government’s Facebook page or e-mailed to askus@gov.bm.

The consultative draft for the City of Hamilton Plan 2023 was released for public feedback in January.

Those who wish to provide feedback on the plan can do so through the Department of Planning website until March 24.
