A Bermudian man has been arrested in connection with an international case.

A spokesman for the Bermuda Police Service said yesterday that a 41-year-old man had been arrested “in relation to an ongoing investigation by law enforcement authorities in Canada”.

He added: “The specifics of the investigation cannot be disclosed at this time.”

The news site TNN reported last night that a customs officer had been arrested last week.

The police spokesman declined to confirm if the man arrested was employed by customs. He said: “We have provided you with all the information we can at this time.”
