Some of Bermuda's cricketers are paying the price for not giving it their all in winter training.A tough first practice at the ICC Global Cricket Academy in Dubai today, coupled with the 13 hours they spent in the air getting here, has left several members of the squad nursing injuries ranging from a bruised ankle to a sore back.Of the injured players, Kyle Hodsoll's niggling ankle problem is the most serious, and may well rule him out of the opening game of the tour on Tuesday.However, none of the injuries are considered serious enough to put any of the players in doubt for the duration of the trip, although Jason Anderson's stiff back could become a cause for concern if it persists.Jordan Desilva (ankle), Dion Stovall (back) and Chris Foggo (hand) are the other players who are carrying knocks.“I think everyone is good to go, we're (just) finding out who's been doing the hard work, and who hasn't,” said Bermuda head coach David Moore.“The guys who haven't been doing as hard work as possible are feeling a few aches and pains. Everyone is going to be sore, but the guys who are really struggling are being found out by the higher work load.”UAE meanwhile have made a couple of changes to the playing schedule for the tour, although they haven't officially told Moore about them yet.The five games that the team were due to play against the UAE national side have been reduced to three, with Bermuda now playing two matches against the UAE under-19s.And the final game of the tour will now take place in Sharjah, which is about an hour-and-a-half north of Dubai.“I don't know the exact structure of the tour, I read about it (the changes) in the newspaper,” said Moore. “But, we've got to be able to beat anyone that is thrown up against us, and we have to beat teams that are ahead of us.“I'd imagine that the UAE under-19s would be a pretty good team, so we've really got to stand up and not take anyone for granted, that's for sure.”* Don't forget - you can follow the cricket action live through our Follow It Live site.
