Road advisories for Ag Show and trenching work

Trenching

Continued trenching will reduce a stretch of Harrington Sound Road to a single lane between May 9 and June 26.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Public Works described the work, to take place between Devil’s Hole Hill and Knapton Hill, as “final trenching works” in the area for Link Bermuda, One Communications, Belco and the ministry’s water section.

“There will be no parking permitted on the north side of Harrington Sound Road for the D&C Grill Restaurant and all parking should be relocated to the Devil's Hole public dock parking lot,” the spokesman said.

“Traffic control will be managed by Invisible Trenching representatives through cones, traffic light and signage.

“The Ministry of Public Works advises pedestrians and pedal bike riders to proceed through this area with caution for their safety, encourage the full co-operation of the public and apologises for any inconvenience that may result.”

The ministry also announced traffic arrangements for the Agricultural Show at the Botanical Gardens.

The show, hosted by the Department of Parks, will run from Thursday to Saturday, with traffic changes to be in effect between 8am and 7pm for those three days.
