Parents and guardians have an additional week to register their children for middle and senior public school for the 2023-24 academic year.

A government spokeswoman said the original deadline was supposed to be today, but has been extended until May 5 because of “technical challenges with the online registration platform”.

The Department of Education is working on the system and will provide an update next week.

The spokeswoman added: “The department apologises for the delay and thanks parents for their patience while we restore the online registration service.”
