Shares of Butterfield Bank climbed 0.2 per cent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading.

The bank gained five cents to close on $33.25 on the trading of 550 shares.

Butterfield’s US-listed shares fell three cents to close on $33.65 on the New York Stock Exchange, as 133,061 shares changed hands.

BF&M Ltd was the only other issuer to trade on the BSX. The insurer remained unchanged on $21 as 20 shares traded.

In a filing with the BSX, Somers Ltd reported that it purchased 600 of its own common shares at an average cost of $15 per share during October. The shares will be cancelled with immediate effect.
