Carey Olsen, the international law firm with an office in Bermuda, has been named Offshore Law Firm of the Year at the Chambers Europe Awards 2023, taking home the award for the second year running.

The annual awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of law firms over the past year, in particular outstanding work, impressive strategic growth and excellence in client service.

The results were announced at a ceremony at Hotel Principe di Savoia in Milan.

Winners across 26 categories were selected based on extensive research and client interviews conducted by a team of more than 200 research analysts.

In the 2023 edition of the Chambers Europe guide, Carey Olsen achieved a clean sweep of Band 1 rankings for the seven practice areas in which it featured, plus 38 individual lawyer rankings.

Carey Olsen group managing partner Alex Ohlsson said: “This award is testament to the strength, hard work and dedication of our teams and all that the firm has accomplished in recent years.

“I would like to thank each of my colleagues for their ongoing commitment to our clients and to Carey Olsen's success – it is a huge achievement for us to be recognised in this way."

The other finalists for the award were Appleby, Maples Group, Mourant, Ogier, and Walkers.

Carey Olsen advises financial institutions, corporations and private clients on the laws of Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Guernsey and Jersey from a network of nine international offices.

It employs more than 600 people and its 70 partners head up a full complement of 290 lawyers.
