Central Counties match between Western Stars and Tuff Dogs abandoned

The Central Counties second-round match between Western Stars and Tuff Dogs has been abandoned without a ball being bowled.

The game, which was scheduled to take place at Devonshire Rec, was called off with the ground unfit for play.

As a result of the cancellation, competition rules dictate that Stars, as the winners of last year’s tournament, will progress to the final against North Village on June 24.

Tuff Dogs had been quietly confident of pulling off a shock with national team players Dominic Sabir and Charles Trott named in their side.
