Graphic Design Showcase 2023 is set to open
The Graphic Design Showcase 2023 is set to open its doors on June 23 at the Bermuda Society of Arts.
The event brings together students, freelance designers, local design studios, and advertising agencies to celebrate Bermuda's thriving graphic design industry.
Stephan Johnstone, the founder of SJD World and the visionary behind this event, said it aims to provide a unique opportunity for local graphic designers to “connect, collaborate, and showcase their exceptional talents.”
Mr Johnstone said his core objective for the showcase is to inspire and nurture young creatives on the island.
By offering a platform for emerging designers to exhibit their work, he said, the event fosters an environment that encourages growth, innovation, and professional development.
Sean Collier, founder of the creative agency Cosmic, emphasised the importance of such events to foster collaboration and partnerships within the industry.
He said: “The opening night of the exhibition presents an ideal setting for established professionals and up-and-coming artists to connect, exchange ideas, and explore the limitless possibilities that arise from such interactions.”
Sponsors of the Graphic Design Showcase believe in the power of nurturing and supporting Bermuda's creative community.
In a joint statement, they said that collective support, alongside fellow sponsors Bermuda Blueprinting and BSoA, enabled the event to thrive, and provide a platform for designers to showcase their extraordinary talents and network with industry leaders.
