The RG/BSX Index closed on Tuesday down 107.26 points (4.93 per cent) at 2,068.32.
Some 1,070 shares in the Bank of NT Butterfield Ltd changed hands for a turnover of $28,890. The stock closed at $27, down $2 (6.9 per cent) on the day.
Overseas, the bank closed down 37 cents (1.32 per cent) at $27.62 on the New York Stock Exchange.
