Marsh Folly down to one lane for June
Repairs to a rock face along Marsh Folly Road in Pembroke have been extended to the end of this month after heavy rain delayed the Ministry of Public Works crew.
The ministry advised that the thoroughfare’s eastbound lane would be closed from 7am to 6pm until June 29, with a final temporary road closure planned for June 30.
The road will be fully opened for traffic at night as well as early mornings.
Bus stops on the road will be closed, along with the sidewalk, at the site of the repairs.
Passengers should use alternative stops along Cedar Avenue and the Saltus school bus stop on St John's Road.
Drivers were advised to detour on Canal Road, Dutton Avenue, Black Watch Pass, Langton Hill and North Shore Road.
Staff from Barclays Construction will direct traffic with cones, barricades and signs.
The ministry apologised for any inconvenience to the public.
Queries on the project can be directed to Tina Beer-Searle, the ministry’s principal highways engineer, on 501-3044.
