Musicians take to the stage for Premier’s Concert
Members of the public were invited to support the island’s music scene by attending the 2023 Premier’s Concert.
The festival on Sunday will feature Bermudian musicians at the forefront with a line-up that includes R&B artist Dakari Love, singer-songwriter Hana Bushara and the Bermuda Philharmonic Society.
A government spokeswoman said: “Hosted by the Department of Culture, this year’s event is in keeping with the theme of celebrating Bermuda’s National Heroes.
“Each of the artists will dedicate a performance to one of Bermuda’s eight National Heroes.”
The concert, which takes place annually, is a free event, though spaces are limited. Anyone who would like to register can visit the department’s website at culture.bm.
The Premier’s Concert was first introduced in December 1985 by Ruth E. Thomas, then a cultural affairs officer.
The event will take place at the Earl Cameron Theatre in City Hall, with doors to open at 5.30pm for a 6pm start.
