Lisa LeBlanc and Meghan Calhoun lost the first set 21-8 and the second 21-10 to the Jamaican pair of Chauna Jasmine Kelly and Petal Smith. LeBlanc and Calhoun face Nelissa Ramirez and Shantel Arnold of Belize in a thirteenth place play-off on Sunday.

On Friday, the Bermudian duo were beaten 21-5, 21-4 by Natalia Giron and Estefanie Bethancourt, of Guatemala in a round of 16 match. The defeat meant that LeBlanc and Calhoun are out of contention for a medal at the CAC Games.

While they can no longer secure a podium finish, it is not the end of the road for LeBlanc and Calhoun who are now seeding matches to determine their final position in the competition, with beach volleyball at the CAC Games concluding on June 27.

LeBlanc and Calhoun started their campaign with a 2-0 loss against the Dominican Republic pair of Julibeth Payano and Bethania Almanzar as they lost both sets 21-4 on Wednesday.

Bermuda got a reprieve the next day when they won their game to 2-0 against Surinam after their opponents failed to fulfil the fixture, resulting in LeBlanc and Calhoun finishing third in the group stage to progress to the round of 16.
