Emma Harvey just misses out on medal in 100 metres butterfly at CAC Games
Emma Harvey just finished outside the medals as she continued her fine form at the CAC Games yesterday.
Harvey, who picked up Bermuda’s only medal of the games so far when second in the 50 metres backstroke on Saturday, finished fourth in the 100 metres butterfly final in a time of 1min 0.65sec.
That time was just 0.58sec behind Karen Durango of Colombia, who secured the bronze medal, with the Mexican duo of Maria Mata and Athena Meneses picking up the gold and silver medals respectively.
Harvey’s brother, Jack, was also in finals action on Tuesday evening, finishing eighth in the 200 metres backstroke behind Patrick Groters of Aruba, who claimed the gold medal.
Jack Harvey is back in the pool this morning competing in heat one of the 200 metres freestyle and heat two of the 50 metres backstroke.
