BeesMont Law grows with staff changes
BeesMont Law Ltd has added two senior counsel and a project management consultant as part of growth changes to the commercial law firm.
The recent appointments and promotions include Gretchen Tucker, who has been promoted to senior governance counsel.
Bourn Collier has been a senior corporate counsel with the firm since October.
In addition, Michele Steinhoff has joined BeesMont Law as a project management consultant.
Managing partner Sharon Beesley offered congratulations and thanks for dedication to teamwork and the client-focused advisory business.
She said: “As a hybrid law firm where attorneys regularly work remotely and administrative staff operate independently, there is considerable merit in recognising talent for being accountable and espousing our values.”
Ms Tucker has been with the firm since 2017 and has developed an advisory practice focusing on risk management, organisational governance and regulatory compliance.
Her commercial clients fall within a broad range of sectors inclusive of financial services, telecoms, aviation, medical technology start-ups and entrepreneurs.
She also advises public authorities on administrative decision-making, statutory interpretation, public policy development, legal reform and interactions with their stakeholders.
Ms Tucker has been increasingly advising on the management of privacy, security and cross-border risk arising from software licensing and material outsourcing arrangements.
Mr Collier worked at Keystone Law in London and has advisory experience practising in England, the Channel Islands and the Russian Federation.
He has more than 15 years’ experience and advises on a wide range of corporate, banking and capital markets transactions.
Since joining BeesMont Law, Mr Collier has been involved in advising on digital asset businesses and his clients include commercial entities that are licensed and regulated by the Bermuda Monetary Authority.
He said: “The opportunity to join a leading boutique firm in a top-ranked jurisdiction for international business was compelling.
“Since joining, I have been impressed by the quality of the client offering and the sophisticated regulatory regime Bermuda offers.
“BeesMont Law’s strength lies in the breadth of the experience and the depth of knowledge of its legal team.
“In the area of digital asset business, Bermuda boasts one of the world’s best regulatory frameworks and we are looking for opportunities to develop innovative solutions for fintech clients and to attract new businesses to be licensed in Bermuda.”
Privacy officer certified, Ms Steinhoff works with both the administrative staff and the attorneys of the firm to support compliance and regulatory controls, engage with administrative projects and develop the privacy programme.
She has experience in providing administrative and records management services as well as systems support and implementation.
