Shares of BF&M Ltd jumped $1, or 5 per cent, to $21 after 15,600 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

Ascendant Group Ltd shares were $1 lower, or 3.3 per cent, at $29 after 2,700 changed hands. There was also trading in 2,400 shares of One Communications Ltd, but with no impact on the closing price of $3.80.

In New York, shares of Butterfield Bank were down two cents, or 0.06 per cent, at $33.23.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was down 1.99 points, or 0.09 per cent, at 2,253.31, while the BSX Insurance Index was down 4.94 points, or 0.29 per cent, at 1,685.61.
