The Supreme Court trial of a man accused of importing more than $400,000 worth of drugs has ended in a mistrial.
Edward Jelani Albuoy, 32, has denied that he imported MDMA — commonly known as ecstasy — cannabis and cannabis resin to Bermuda, as well as three counts of having them with intent to supply.
As the trial came to a close yesterday, Puisne Judge Juan Wolffe released the jury in the middle of their deliberation.
The case will be brought back before the courts on September 1 to set another trial date.
Mr Albuoy's bail was extended.
